Every keystroke is committed to this browser's local storage as you type, so nothing ever travels to a server. Reopen this page in the same browser and your text is exactly where you left it. There is no sync step, no save button, and no account standing between you and your writing.
Where did my notes go?
Empty page? The most likely cause is that browsing data was wiped, since clearing cookies and site data removes local storage along with them. To hold on to your writing, leave "site data" unticked the next time you clear your browser. Note that incognito and private windows discard storage when you close them, so nothing written there survives the session.
